Distance below sea level: maximum depth of 18 m.

With its white sandy beaches lapped by transparent waters, Stintino, on the northwest coast of Sardinia, is the idyllic image of the Mediterranean. Destination appreciated not only by a national but also international tourism. Its fame is worldwide, so much so that it boasts some of the best spots on the island for diving.

Offshore, the Asinara Protected Marine Reserve is home to a rich and colorful marine fauna, including numerous species of Mediterranean fish, nudibranchs, crustaceans, stingrays and octopuses, as well as several species of corals and sea urchins.

There are several dive sites scattered throughout Stintino and the island of Asinara, suitable for beginners and more experienced divers, each of which offers a unique experience, with underwater caves, tunnels and ravines to explore. Swim with schools of fish, meet dolphins, and discover the site of a Roman shipwreck at Cala Reale, which is now a protected archaeological site.

As far as diving is concerned, the dive sites of Sardinia and Corsica offer sometimes unique shows both for the uncontaminated and wild beauty of the seabed and for the richness of fish present. We offer you just a few points of great charm, so as to take your breath away!

On the west coast, to the south, we find Punta Salippi. The first point in the passage of the Strait of Fornelli between the island Piana and the Asinara. A site inhabited by mustelle corvine of large size and deeper lobster groupers and some conger. Easy or challenging dive depending on the route chosen.

Continuing north, always on the west side, we find Punta Agnadda, once the habitat of numerous lobsters, now replaced by herds of crows, groupers, and only 8-10 meters away. of depth, barracuda that intersect with salpe and castagnole. A bright backdrop characterized by countless pinnacles and very scenic passages. Easy immersion in shallow depth (18-20m.).

Moving further north we find Punta Grabara. It is a little frequented dive site, but of rare beauty, characterized by a jagged seabed rich in lobsters, moray eels, groupers, crows and bream where the underwater flora does its part. The dive is of medium difficulty with a maximum depth of 36 m.

Punta dei Corvi, about 200 meters. from the coast, towards the sea there is the city of groupers, certainly one of the most beautiful dives in the park.

In the Bay of Ajaccio,on the west coast, Les Cathedrales is a popular site suitable for beginners and more advanced divers, who swim to a depth of between 6 and 60 meters. The area is always well appreciated for its colorful corals and anemones and for the rich variety of fish.

Another popular destination for divers is Capo Rosso, one of the most beautiful in Corsica, home to magnificent corals and fish such as moray eels, scorpion fish and stingrays. For wreck enthusiasts here they can find a unique scenery thanks to the remains of the Alcione C, a wartime tanker lying at a depth of 24 meters on the east coast, as well as an impressive American Boeing B17 – a “flying fortress” – resting 27 meters on the seabed near Calvi.
